<description>Us Australians love to think we are really green and laugh at the consumerism of Americans, but our government has just done a U-turn away from solar.

They decided that on one hand, they want to make the industry grow but on the other hand, that it is growing too fast! They worry that it is 'unsustainable' and 'may overheat'.

So to fix this they cut back on Federal subsidies that allow households to buy PV.

But note the government is not worrying about the coal industry overheating. Our coal miners are spending four times as much looking for new coal deposits than in 2001!

Its worth a laugh seeing how confused they are, but shed a tear for us downunder, 'overheating' indeed!
