We don’t just love LA because the sun shines 266 days a year (though, here in foggy Oakland, we’re certainly jealous).   We love LA because Laurie David and George Clooney live there and because it’s home to one of the first modern farmers’ markets in the U.S.  We love LA because of the Green Building Resource Center in Santa Monica and the pupusas in little Central America.  We love LA because of Zuma, Malibu, Venice, Surfrider and any other beach you’d care to name where you don’t need to wear a parka in July.  We love LA because it has the highest recycling rate of the biggest five U.S. cities.  We love LA because it’s held water use steady since 1990 though its population grew 15%.  We love LA because it has a climate action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% below 1990 levels by 2030.  We love LA because LADWP powers the Academy Awards, the Grammies and the Emmies with renewable energy.  And last but not least, we love LA because LADWP is on track to generate 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by the end of this year!
Sungevity is proud to offer LA residents home solar leases that will help them cut their electric bills and help the city achieve its climate action goals.  Less money on electric bills, more for pupusas.

What do you love about LA?
